There is a difference between allowing for a fast make _while_ coding, and another to push stuff without bothering to run the unit-tests... Tinderbox are the second line of defense... the first line of defense is for each dev to make sure that his changes -- at least -- don't break his own build. iow shit happens, but that's no reason to encourage it...
