The GPL seems a particularly silly license for artwork =) but it is quite common; we already ship and include Human under this in the source. The ideal here of course would be to find someone with the tenacity to chase-down the original authors and get some more sensible rights such as CC0 or somesuch to at least one base-set of icons.
