I did a full rebuild of master and now it's better: 1) "./soffice.bin --convert-to doc --outdir ../../../lo-test-files/writer ../../../lo-test-files/writer/hello.odt" works fine, so my patch is not necessary. 2) The same with RTF or DOCX results in "Error: Please reverify input parameters..." So I suspect this will be about builtin vs UNO filters.
