And is this a genuine problem with the macosx visibility which the old
test happened to catch, or is it actually just because we're now talking
about a non-clean build where there are mixed object files and if it was
a clean build it would work perfectly fine, but it's just that we don't
have a dependency tracking for changed compiler options.
