Ah - I suspect the Slackware distro target is just stale (somehow).

Sure; hack patches/dev300/apply and remove mention of that patch. I'll
do the same on master so we can cherry pick it for 3.3.1 as/when you've
validated that.
Sorry for the problem - we are removing all the per-distro patching for
3.4.x wherever possible.
