I'm looking at this :-) It looks to me (looking at the autoconf doc) that this is a clear case of "should be WITH". The docu says "with", but in practice you need "enable" to make it work ... So. Are you happy with the following ... a) Mark the current section as "wrong and deprecated". b) create the "--with-java" section that clearly looks as though it should be there. c) try and fix anything that's going to break. (probably initially at least, by making the "with java" section set any "enable java" variables :-( d) delete it after 3.3 is released.
