Both programs are way more than 98% of us need. Use whichever is easier in your
case. Do take the trouble to save in MS Office format because can open MSO file
but not the other way around and some folks don't know that DOC and XLS are not
universal. If you are using very precise formatting and need to save as ODT or
ODS be sure others can read your documents.
