OK this is getting nuts. I followed all the directions at the links provided.
The program does not re-write the user profile. The New>Labels works in safe
mode. And now in regular mode it opens but I do not see my database there. I
tried making a new database several times but it crashes when I try to query
for data.
Luckily my spreadsheets are still accessible.
