Bug ID: 115248
Summary: With auto correct *off*, typing or pasting "ATM" into
writer incorrectly makes TM superscript
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 5.3 all versions
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
English US Locale.
Even with auto correct as you type turned completely off, I cannot type the
abbreviation "ATM" into writer without the TM being converted to superscript.
Even if I cut and paste (unformatted paste) from an external text editor, it
does this. I can copy and paste a formatted "ATM" word from another source
like the spreadsheet, and it does not do the replacement. However if I remove
the direct formatting it instantly makes the TM part superscript. This happens
even though autocorrect is completely disabled.
I originally encountered this bug on LibreOffice 5.3.0, and now that I've
updated to the latest stable 5.3.7, it still does it.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Disable auto correct, in tools->auto correct->while typing
2. Type the word, ATM
or
select "ATM" from another text editor and paste it using paste special,
unformatted text.
Actual Results:
the TM part of ATM is superscripted
Expected Results:
Auto correct is turned off; no formatting should happen. Should just get the
letters ATM.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
