I know that, and so it always has been with the previous versions.
When the text box is open, the cursor flashes in the text box. That's OK. You
can then enter a text and edit it later.
However, if you leave the text field and click in the area outside the text
field, there is no longer a cursor.
You have to save the file, close LO and reopen both. Then everything goes
again. But that is not normal.
