--- Comment #4 from V Stuart Foote <[email protected]> ---
Sorry, can not confirm.

On Windows 10 Pro 64-bit en-US with
Version: 5.3.0.3 (x64)
Build ID: 7074905676c47b82bbcfbea1aeefc84afe1c50e1
CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Windows 6.19; UI Render: default; Layout Engine:
new;
Locale: en-US (en_US); Calc: group

And likewise, can not confirm with
Version: 4.4.4.3
Build ID: 2c39ebcf046445232b798108aa8a7e7d89552ea8
Locale: en_US

With a Table created in Writer and several cells filled, a formula entered into
a cell with correct syntax performs calculation.

Pointing mouse cursor to result in that cell shows "Tooltip" with the formula
being evaluated.

Positioning edit cursor into the cell makes an <F2> opening of formula bar for
that cell.

No method to display the formula "un-evaluated" in a table cell--all that is
possible is the tooltip view of the formula or reopening the formula bar with
<F2>.
