Bug ID: 105661
Summary: Choice of using LibreOffice dialog boxes or native OS
dialogs missing from preferences
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 5.2.4.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
I want to use my native OS's dialog boxes when LibreOffice interacts with my
filesystem, not LibreOffice's own internal dialog. I found several sources in
the wiki and in forum posts that references how to set this, here is one:
https://help.libreoffice.org/Common/Open_1
However, when I visit this menu in Options -> Preferences -> LibreOffice ->
General, the only options I see are:
Help: Extended tips (a checkbox)
Document Status: Printing sets "document modified" status (a checkbox)
Year (Two Digits): Interpret as years between (a rollerbox) and 2029.
Help Improve LibreOffice: Collect usage data and send it to The Document
Foundation (a checkbox)
There is no option for choosing native dialogs as mentioned in the above
hyperlink. I also cannot find this option in any other Preferences menu.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install LibreOffice
2. Try to change to native OS dialogs
Actual Results:
You cannot find the dialog box option.
Expected Results:
The menu option should be available as stated in the wiki.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:50.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/50.0
