Bug ID: 104374
Summary: XLSX from Excel2013 edited (filled) in LO can not be
read again in Excel2013
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 5.1.6.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
We got a XLSX-File with 12 sheets for working time summary. Three Employees are
filling it in. They sent it to the head quarter. There they could not open it
again with the origin Excel 2013.
I am an voluntary and the only responsible person for IT in this non-profit
organisation.
I heard from that prob yesterday and does not know, how many months it
persists.
I tested it with the same LO and Excel 2007. It could open the file with error
messages. These error messages I will attach.
Therefore I am planning for 2017 to recommend, to use consistent Office-SW.
That means, buying and installing MS Office 2013 in our Office too.
I am not happy with it.
Otherwise I prefer to use LO furthermore, if that problem could be solved.
Can this be replicated?
Steps to Reproduce:
1.LO opened and filled a XLSX sheet from a Excel 2013 user.
2.LO saved it / It has been sent to a Excel 2013 user.
3.This user could NOT be open the file again. (in Excel 2013)
Actual Results:
a Excel 2013 user could not open the XLSX-file, edited by LO.
Expected Results:
XSLX-compatibility
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
