The new Area dialog in LO 5.3 has no way to load a custom bitmap palette.
Loading an own bitmap palette for page and shape fillings is possible in the
tab Bitmap of the Area dialog in LO 5.2.
I have used Version: 5.3.0.0.alpha0+
