Bug ID: 99284
Summary: Toolbar background gradient causes problems; makes
icons invisible
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 5.1.2.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: UI
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Version info as follows:
Version: 5.1.2.2.0+
Build ID: 1:5.1.2-3
CPU Threads: 4; OS Version: Linux 4.4; UI Render: default;
Locale: en-US (en_US.UTF-8)
This was tested on KDE 5.4 with the "Breeze Dark" theme. Specifically Debian
amd64 unstable libreoffice package version 1:5.1.2-3.
Problem:
The toolbar for all LibreOffice applications appears to use a gradient
background which ruins themes and makes the visibility of some icons very poor,
especially with the Breeze icon theme.
Best outcomes for me would be the removal of the gradient, or a user option to
disable it.
I googled around and found a number of other people having the same issue. The
first link to reddit has a screenshot which looks almost identical to what my
toolbar looks like, but it's worse because the icons on the left are completely
invisible due to the width of the application.
