UPDATE ON 2016-04-13:

I have found out more about this problem. It seems to appear only when I save
the exported PDF file directly into a Dropbox folder! PDF export works fine if
I save elsewhere on my disk than Dropbox. LibreOffice version is 5.0.5.2 64-bit
Windows.

Dropbox probably interferes somehow with the saving of the file. But I also
save my original document always directly into a Dropbox folder and have never
had any problems so there is something done differently when saving a PDF file
that causes interference with Dropbox.

I guess Dropbox notices that file has changed and starts uploading it before it
is finished and this somehow interferes with LibreOffice PDF export. This is my
best guess at this point.

Funny enough I never saw this problem with 4.4.7.2 or earlier versions. Did
something change in PDF file save to version 5? For example file sharing flags?
It should be possible for one application to write to file and another to read
at the same time without disturbing each other if file sharing flags are
correctly set. I am pretty sure that Dropbox uses correct sharing flags because
I can change a file while it is uploading.

I edited the summary to reflect that this is a Dropbox related problem.
