Priority: medium
Bug ID: 76131
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Existing pinned icon on Win7/8 is taskbar invalid
after re-installation/update
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Windows (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.2.2.1 rc
Component: Installation
Product: LibreOffice
After performing update the existing LibreOffice general icon which is pinned
to the taskbar is invalid and must be deleted. Then a new pin needs to be made
from the refreshed program shortcuts.
Most native-Windows installations allow for programs to remain functioning as
previously pinned to the taskbar, unless a directory change is performed during
the update.
After re-installing/updating LibreOffice, the LO-specific icon is gone, and a
generic white icon exists at the location of the pinned program. This needs to
be removed by the user and the newly installed app re-pinned. (That's a lot of
additional user-required steps)
