Priority: medium
Bug ID: 75067
Assignee: [email protected]
Summary: Auto-filter gets confused in a recovered spreadsheet
Severity: normal
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Mac OS X (All)
Reporter: [email protected]
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Version: 4.2.0.4 release
Component: Spreadsheet
Product: LibreOffice
After a Calc freeze (caused by trying to Remove Formatting in a different file
containing Asian characters), I recovered a spreadsheet containing about 1,400
rows of data. I had been using auto-filter, and the correct three rows were
being displayed.
However, the drop-downs over each column were no longer filtered correctly for
the visible lines: all values were visible in every column's drop-down, even
though the AutoFilter item in the menu was still checked.
To resolve this, I did another Cmd-A (Select All) and Data -> Filter ->
AutoFilter, after which I reselected the filter criteria in the key columns,
after which the other columns' drop-downs showed only the expected values.
Bonus bug: after recovering and opening two spreadsheets, keystrokes (like
Cmd-A) may go to the bottom, hidden spreadsheet instead of to the top, visible
spreadsheet, even when it has been clicked-in.
