The ODB was registered as a data source. Method: automated, each attempt = cold start of soffice, load the document, real mouse click on "Save Merged Document", fail = the "Save merged document" dialog does not appear within 6 s. LibreOffice 24.2.7.2 (Ubuntu package): dialog did not open in 41/60 attempts (openjdk-21: 15/20, 9/10 with 15 s wait, 6/10 with a brand new profile; openjdk-11: 17/20). When it fails the button is enabled before the click, disabled after it, no error. LibreOffice 26.8.2.2 (official deb tarball): dialog opened in 40/40 attempts (openjdk-21: 20/20, openjdk-11: 20/20). So it is not reproducible with the current stable release. Not tested: re-linking the database as in comment 7, nor versions between 24.2 and 26.8.
