Bug ID: 174260
Summary: FILESAVE XLSX: TRUE/FALSE formula result saved as 1/0
when the cell has a number format
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.8.2.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Steps to reproduce:
1. New spreadsheet. A1: 5. B1: =A1>3
2. Format B1 with a number format, e.g. Format > Cells > Number > "#,##0" (or
0, 0.00, 0%).
3. Save as .xlsx and open the file in Excel.
Actual result:
B1 shows 1. The cell is written as <c t="n"><v>1</v></c>, so Excel reads a
number.
Expected result:
B1 shows TRUE. Excel itself writes t="b" for a boolean formula result whatever
the cell's number format, so Excel -> LibreOffice -> Excel loses the
TRUE/FALSE.
Only cells left in the General format keep t="b": the export decides from the
formula cell's format type, which a user-applied number format overrides.
Tested: LibreOffice 26.8.2 (Linux) and current master. Patch to follow on
Gerrit.
Related (opposite direction, XLS import): tdf#156861.
