Bug ID: 174228
Summary: FIREBIRD: Autorecovery does not save data entered in
an embedded Firebird database since the last Save
Product: LibreOffice
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Base
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
After a crash, the recovered embedded Firebird database lacks everything
entered
since the last Save, including whole tables. The autorecovery copy of the
.odb
has an empty database/ folder: no firebird.fbk.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Tools > Options > LibreOffice > Load/Save > General: enable "Save
AutoRecovery information every 1 minutes".
2. File > New > Database, create a new database with the embedded Firebird
engine and save it.
3. Create a table, save the table (not the document), open it
and enter a few records.
4. Wait for autorecovery to run (a file <name>.odb_0.odb appears in the
profile's user/backup/ folder), then kill soffice (pkill -9 soffice.bin).
5. Restart and recover the document.
Actual Results:
The recovered document doesn't contain the table or records from step 3.
Expected Results:
The recovered document contains them, as it does with embedded HSQLDB: the same
steps with an HSQLDB database recover the table and records.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
Version: 26.2.6.3 (X86_64)
Build ID: 620(Build:3)
OS: Linux 7.0; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Ubuntu package 4:26.2.6.3-0ubuntu0.26.04.2
