Bug ID: 174145
Summary: Presenter Console: SPACE key triggers two animation
steps per keypress (arrow keys work)
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.8.1.1 release
Hardware: ARM
OS: macOS (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: medium
Component: Impress
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
When the slide show runs with the Presenter Console on a second screen, each
press of the SPACE key triggers two animation steps (two "on click" effects
appear at once). The arrow keys advance one step at a time as expected. Without
a second screen (no Presenter Console), SPACE works correctly.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect a second screen (Presenter Console enabled, default settings).
2. Open the attached file presenter_console_space_test.pptx (4 boxes per slide,
each appearing "on click" with a 0.4 s fade).
3. Start the slide show (F5).
4. Press SPACE once.
Actual Results:
Two boxes appear for a single press of SPACE. Boxes appear 2 by 2.
Expected Results:
One box appears per press of SPACE, as with the Right arrow key or without the
Presenter Console.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
- Right arrow / Page Down: correct (one step per keypress).
- Single screen, no Presenter Console: SPACE is correct.
- Same behaviour with the file saved as .odp
- Clicking once on the current-slide preview in the Presenter Console before
pressing SPACE: problem persists
- Possible cause (not verified): SPACE may both advance the slide show and
activate the focused "Next" button of the Presenter Console.
