Bug ID: 174085
Summary: Autocomplete tooltips show on the
monitor/display/screen where the mouse pointer is
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.4.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: Windows (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
If the mouse pointer is on another screen than the LibreOffice Writer window,
the autocomplete tooltips will show on the monitor with the mouse pointer, and
not in the actual LibreOffice Writer window.
As soon as you move the mouse pointer to the monitor with the LibreOffice
Writer window, the autocomplete tooltips appear just over the insertion point,
as expected.
As soon as you move the mouse pointer to another monitor, the autocomplete
tooltips appear on that other monitor, far away from the insertion point in
LibreOffice Writer.
This has been happening since at least 2025-01-27. I don't remember the version
number I used at that time. But I know that the bug is currently also present
in version 26.2.4.2.
