            Bug ID: 173789
Summary: UI: Holding Ctrl key does not allow multi-selecting
                    shapes/objects by clicking
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
When creating multiple shapes in a document, holding down the Ctrl key and
clicking on each shape to select them sequentially does not work. Only the last
clicked shape remains selected, while the previously selected shapes are
deselected.

Dragging a selection box (lasso) is not a viable workaround in all cases,
especially when trying to select specific non-adjacent shapes without selecting
objects in between them.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice (e.g., Writer or Draw).
2. Insert three or more shapes into the document.
3. Click on the first shape to select it.
4. Hold down the Ctrl key and click on another shape.

Actual Results:
The first shape is deselected, and only the last clicked shape remains selected
(multi-selection fails).

Expected Results:
Both shapes (and any subsequent clicked shapes) should be selected together as
a group/multi-selection.

Reproducible: Always
