Sure, but that doesn't help anyone imagine the scenarios.

Did you try out this example file (using replace-once)? Did it do what your
users would have required it to do? Because that is what would happen if they
did a replace-all. And with a replace-all, you have no idea what changes have
actually happened in your document. Replace-All is NEVER a good idea (unless
you know EXACTLY what is going to happen).
