After scrolling some way past the edge of the slide, scrolling _does_ transition to the next or the previous slide. "Instead of", or are you suggesting we offer the same behavior as PowerPoint, i.e. scroll within the slide while there is anywhere further to scroll in the relevant direction, and otherwise, move to the previous/next slide? If it's the former - how do you suggest users scroll within the slide area, using the mouse (and you can say they can use the scroll bar)? If it's the latter - personally, I have always found that rather inconvenient, i.e. you don't know in advance what the mouse wheel action will actually do; and you don't get the effect of one mouse action/movement per transition - you have to be careful and await feedback all the time. I just checked the Atril PDF viewer, and its logic is as follows (in non-continuous view): * If a full page fits the window viewport, the mouse wheel moves between pages on scroll. * If a full page does _not_ fit the window viewport, the mouse wheel vertically scrolls within the page, and _never_ moves between pages. which is interesting.
