Bug ID: 173214
Summary: Shapes copied from Draw to Calc don’t appear in the
navigator
Product: LibreOffice
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
If you copy a shape from Draw and paste it into Calc then it doesn’t appear in
the navigator.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new Draw document
2. Draw a squiggle using the curves and polygon tool
3. Press Ctrl+C to copy the squiggle
4. Do File->New->Spreadsheet to create a new spreadsheet
5. Press Ctrl+V to paste the squiggle
6. Click the burger menu at the top of the lefthand side panel and select
“Navigator” in the menu
Actual Results:
Nothing appears in the “Drawing objects section” of the navigator.
Expected Results:
The squiggle should be a drawing object listed in the navigator.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
Additional Info:
It does seem to correctly paste the curve as an editable object. For example,
if you toggle Point Edit Mode then you can move the points of the curve. If you
draw the squiggle directly in Calc with the freehand draw tool then it does
appear in the navigator. Also if you paste into Writer instead then it appears
correctly as well.
Tested on master:
Version: 27.2.0.0.alpha0+ (X86_64)
Build ID: 82f7b95f64ecee3825f8e976a815fd100a847669
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 7.1; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded
I also tried with some older versions:
Version: 25.8.7.3 (X86_64)
Build ID: 580(Build:3)
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 7.1; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded
25.8 works the same as in git master
Version: 5.2.7.2
Build ID: 2b7f1e640c46ceb28adf43ee075a6e8b8439ed10
CPU Threads: 8; OS Version: Linux 7.1; UI Render: default; VCL: gtk2;
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); Calc: group
Version: 7.6.7.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community
Build ID: dd47e4b30cb7dab30588d6c79c651f218165e3c5
CPU threads: 8; OS: Linux 7.1; UI render: default; VCL: gtk3
Locale: fr-FR (fr_FR.UTF-8); UI: en-US
Calc: threaded
The same problem happens in 5.2.7.2 and 7.6.7.2, but additionally it seems that
even shapes that I draw directly in Calc don’t appear in the navigator, so
there’s probably another bug there.
