Bug ID: 173186
Summary: FORMATTING: "Pick" button inactive in "Area" dialog
box
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.4.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: medium
Component: Impress
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
I am using the Tabbed Compact interface.
If I right click on an area that has not yet been filled with a colour, and
select "Area", the Area dialog appears.
When I select colour within that dialog, the "Pick" button to choose a colour
that is not in the selected pallet is greyed out. This is unhelpful.
However, if I select a colour from the pallet; click OK; and then right-click
to go back to the Area dialog, the "Pick" button is now available to use.
This is inconvenient; the "Pick" button should be available immediately, so
that the user can select a non-standard colour even if the area has not yet
been filled.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Right click on an area that has not yet been filled.
2. Select "Area".
3. Select "Colour".
4. You will see that while a standard colour from one of the many available
pallets can be used, the PICK button is greyed out.
Actual Results:
The PICK button is greyed out.
Expected Results:
I expected the PICK button to be available for use immediately when looking to
fill an area with colour. While I can "workaround" it by selecting a colour and
right-clicking to "Area" again - which causes the PICK button to become active
- this is clearly not ideal.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
