Bug ID: 173183
Summary: File Recovery is Jacked
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 26.2.5.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
Libre office erroneously tries to recover documents that have already been
saved, and when you allow it, it actually deletes saved information.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Write in a document and save it
2.Crash LibreOffice (or possibly just shut down without closing the document?)
3.Try to open a new document
4.Allow Libre to recover the document that it wants to recover
5.Open that document
Actual Results:
The document rolls back saved changes. It shouldn't have to even recover a
document that has already been saved, but its super infuriating to lose saved
changes.
Expected Results:
Don't try to recover saved documents. If you do try to recover it, don't lose
saved changes.
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
