--- Comment #1 from [email protected] --- After further review, this issue is not an enhancement request — it is a usability and consistency problem across the LibreOffice suite. LibreOffice Math is the only module whose .desktop metadata places it outside the “Office” category. All other LibreOffice components appear together under “Office,” but Math appears under “Education/Science.” This creates several UX issues: • breaks suite consistency • reduces discoverability • contradicts user expectations • fragments the application menu • makes Math appear unrelated to the rest of LibreOffice The UI gives no indication that Math is categorized differently, and users have no reason to expect it to be separated from the suite it belongs to. This inconsistency is visible across multiple desktop environments (Cinnamon, KDE Plasma, XFCE) and across all packaging formats (DEB, RPM, Flatpak, Snap). This isn’t about adding a new feature — it’s about correcting a long‑standing UX inconsistency so that LibreOffice behaves like a unified suite. Please consider reclassifying this as a UX issue so it can receive proper triage. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
