The important part here is the 'live' part: this means 'real-time for the whole table'. 1a) Your case: When you edit an autofilter, the COLUMN gets filtered in real-time, and you can see only those entries OF THE CURRENT COMLUMN that match the filter. The table (whole dataset) is out of focus, and it does not get any updates until you eventually apply the filter (eg press ENTER). 1b) My feature request: When you edit a 'live filter', the WHOLE TABLE stays in focus and gets filtered in real-time, and you can see only those ROWS of the WHOLE TABLE that match the filter you are imposing in the current column. Also, you are seeing simultaneously which filter is doing what. 2a) Regarding the "knowing which filters have been previously applied", I am aware that you can KNOW which filters are applied by going to AutoFilter->"Filter by Condition"-> "Standard Filter" (by the way, while you do that, the table stays out of focus). 2b) With a 'live filter', you can not only KNOW what filters are applied, but you can MODIFY THEM WHILE you are seeing them (your data is in focus at all times), which you can not do with an autofilter. Taking 1 and 2, you can already see that the difference between 'live filter' and the current 'autofilter' is substantial!! -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.
