I successfully converted in four ways: save to format OpenOffice XML (.pptx), save to format Microsoft Office 2007-365(.pptx), change file format in system menu "save as" and just rename file in Dolphin file manager. I will close the bug, please check it in latest build/version and reopen the bug if it is still reproducible.
