            Bug ID: 171539
Summary: FORMATTING: Section level column rendered in the
margin when using a high column count
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 26.2.1.2 release
          Hardware: ARM
                OS: macOS (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: medium
         Component: Writer
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
When specifying a high number of columns (e.g., 30) in a section, the last
column is rendered outside the section boundaries, extending into the page
margin.
This issue becomes more apparent when increasing the font size, as the overflow
is visually emphasized.

I used a standard A4-sized document and pt 12 and pt 30 pt text as I explored
this bug.

Steps to Reproduce:

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new Writer document
2. First, add a section: Insert > Section > Columns
3. Add text into the section, ca 250 words is enough
4. Change the column count variable to a high value, e.g., 30: Format >
Sections > Options... (button) > Columns
5. Increasing the font size can make this issue clearer
6. Observe the layout in the right margin, and count the columns

Actual Results:
The last column is rendered into the margin.

Expected Results:
The last column is not rendered into the margin, and it fits the text area of
the document.

Reproducible: Always
