Bug ID: 171518
Summary: Options dialog resize problem
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.8.5.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: UI
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
Options dialog (across all apps) is not resizeable. It can minimize or close,
but no maximize or resize - I don't even get the resize arrows. I have a
dual-monitor setup:
- left on its side @ 1920x1080 Scale 95% - primary monitor in BIOS
- right (Vizio TV)@ 3840x2160 Scale 100% - primary monitor in KDE/Wayland
Every time I change the scale in my monitor settings, I get different results;
even if I come back to a previous scale setting the results might be different:
Monitor scale settings I've tried:
- L @ 100%, R @ 100%
- L @ 95%, R @ 100%
- 100, 105
- 115, 120
Results:
- dialog box is the almost full width of my main screen, with both "halves"
of the dialog way to big, and font size quite readable (couldn't repeat to get
a screen cap., although fortunately, this was the size that popped up the first
time I installed LOo after I rebuilt my system)
- dialog box is almost wide enough, with left half about 4/5ths of the box,
the right half too narrow to be usable, and font size quite readable
- dialog box is about the right size (if the font were larger), but the
left side still takes up too much of the box
All of the other dialog boxes in LOo that I've used have been resizeable except
this one. That needs fixed, and it'd be nice if the "divider" between the
"halves" was moveable so a user can compensate for slightly larger/smaller
box/font.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Launch any app
2.<Alt>-<F12> or Tools-Options
3.
Actual Results:
dialog box wrong size, not resizeable, and can't move center divider to
compensate
Expected Results:
dialog box of reasonable size, can be resized to adjust for system font size
(and it would be nice if center divider was moveable)
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: Yes
