invalid rendering of the formula containing V_{in}
For some reason, V_in does not render correctly. Instead of "in", it renders an
upside-down, red question mark. Changing any of the letters to other letters
instantly corrects the rendering to be proper, but "V_in" and "V_{in}" are
somehow forbidden for an unknown reason.
