The a11y checker does not crash for me but takes a while to process. UX wise we should either run it in the background or show a progress bar. I could also imagine a cut-off at some number, let's say 500 issues, and some interaction to load more. The tree view handling becomes also unresponsive with the gazillion of DF problems.
