Bug ID: 168245
Summary: Page style inheritance broken: flowing table switches
to First Page style in LibreOffice 24.2.7.2
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 24.2.7.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
When a table continues onto the next page, LibreOffice unexpectedly switches
back to the First Page style (portrait orientation, without header/footer),
even though no manual page break was applied. The expected behavior is that the
next page continues with the current page style (Default Page Style —
landscape, with header and footer).
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a document in LibreOffice Writer 24.8.1.1 (Flatpak).
2. Define a "First Page" style with portrait orientation.
3. Insert a manual page break and switch to "Default Page Style" set to
landscape, with header and footer.
4. On the Default Page Style page, insert a large table that continues onto the
next page.
5. Observe the page style of the automatically created next page.
Actual Results:
The next page reverts to First Page style (portrait, without header/footer),
even though no manual break was applied.
Expected Results:
The next page should continue with Default Page Style (landscape, with header
and footer).
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:
Observed in LibreOffice 24.2.7.2 (DEB) on Linux Mint 21.2 Cinnamon 64-bit.
The same behavior was also seen in Flatpak version 25.8.1.1.
A minimal test document can be provided if needed.
