Text annotation of basic draw shapes can not be formatted into columns. Columns require a frame. Supported by use of the Insert -> Frame -> 'Frame Interactively' to draw your text box. Then set its properties to number of columns needed. Use the Insert -> More Breaks -> 'Insert Column Break' to advance text between columns.
