Hi,
I did the same thing as the video and as I said the space between the numbers
and footnote changes depending on the length of the numbers (2,3,4 digits...),
which is not visually expected and a bit ugly in a document.
So, we have no real control on a fixed distance between the number of the
footnote and the text, which is the problem here. The space should stay the
same in my opinion.
Here, on the video, after some manipulations you have a space doubled at 3
digits compared to 2 digits. We can see that you take quite time to find a
compromise with the space.
If you go to 4 digits footnotes (for huge thesis), the space at 4 digits will
be simple, doubled for 3 digits and tripled for 2 digits.
Maybe it can be considered as an enhancement if you and other people think it
is a "normal" behavior ?
