Corrected for 25.8 release where a more WYSIWYG flaovr of light page appearance is selectable and enabled by default. Meanwhile, at 25.2 release if you prefer the < 24.8 appearance, you'll need to install an "appearance theme", the "Light Application Colors" extension. Tools -> Options -> Appearance 'LibreOffice Themes' the puzzle piece button 'Add more themes' and in the popup mini-extension manager select it. Restart LibreOffice. The UI should be back to < 24.8 appearance. Note: with additional rework at 25.8 release, the appearance theme extensions marked >=25.8 will not work with a 25.2 install.
