--- Comment #17 from Regina Henschel <[email protected]> ---
PowerPoint has this behavior only when the box has the placeholder text. After
the user has entered text, neither a click nor or double-click on an area
outside the entered text brings the box in edit mode.

LibreOffice is more flexible. It has the option ".uno:DoubleClickTextEdit" in
the Options toolbar. If it is on, a single click selects the box and a double
click goes into edit mode. This option is on as default.

Is it really needed, that a single click on the box with placeholder text is
interpreted as double-click? I think, that it is better, that the box behaves
the same regardless of having already entered text or have the placeholder
text.
