Bug ID: 167500
Summary: Libreoffice website -- Appimage download -- version
info
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 25.8.0.0 alpha0+
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: LibreOffice
Assignee: [email protected]

hi,
I'm sure this is not the right place to make this suggestion, but who knows?
the problem:
When you want to download an Appimage
here: https://www.libreoffice.org/download/appimage/
You'll see "fresh and still"...
but you don't actually get to see the version number of the appimage file...
However, when you download an appimage from the appimage repository,
you'll see the file versions...
like: LibreOffice-25.2.4.3.standard-x86_64.AppImage
This is not only good when you want to download the latest...
but not sure which one the "still version" would be...
but it is also good when you have downloaded it...
and put it in your Libreoffice directory...
cause you can download the new fresh appimages without having to rename any...
Like this you'll have to rename the appimage so that you can identify it by its
name...
Okay, a minimalistic workaround would be to display its "full name" as a tool
tip... or have it written beside the download link...
Peter
