Bug ID: 167497
Summary: The LibreOffice Writer remains in faint system font,
and Icons and Toolbar too small to read clearly
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 7.4.7.2 release
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: Writer
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
When I opened the LibreOffice Writing program, I could not get the settings to
allow me to see bolder type faces and the Icons were very small (seemed smaller
than 22 even!). I closed the program completely and tried again through the
Start Center. I was unable to fix the writer, even after going through all the
setup and the mandatory restart of LibreOffice.
I am using an HP Laptop that, though 15.6" (diag.) screen, it is specially
enhanced to use UHD displays.
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Turn On LibreOffice Writer or Start Center
2.If beginning on Start Center, change settings all you like, it does not
change it..even to Extra Large Icons, etc., but the result is the same as if
just starting from Writer.
3.
Actual Results:
As far as I can tell, everything works all right. It is just that everything is
rather small, and when you try to set up any system changes like you would see
from the Start Center, the fonts look as if they are using Extra Light (or
whatever is 100, where 400 is normal and 600 is Bold, 900 is Extra Heavy).
Expected Results:
It should have worked, if not straight from Writer, then certainly after making
the necessary changes in Start Center!
Reproducible: Always
User Profile Reset: No
Additional Info:

too small!
