I have continued to have this problem over the course of the years, even now.
After many, many more occurrences, my best analysis is this: First, the problem
is dependent on the size of the document and the number of misspellings in the
document. Second, the easiest solution would be to have the program always
offer to "turn off the undo" function whenever the user clicks on "Spelling."
Third, it would be nice to have a "progress bar" that resides at the bottom of
the screen so that the user does not become frustrated and stop the spellcheck
before it has had a chance to work its way to the end of the document. Thank
