            Bug ID: 166064
Summary: Recent documents do not show those of different file
                    extensions
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 24.8.6.2 release
          Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
                OS: Linux (All)
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: LibreOffice
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

Description:
LibreOffice 24.8.6.2
OS = Ubuntu 24
(this might be an Ubuntu problem)

There is a problem when working in documents with different file extension
names.

In the past one could easily switch between documents with different file
extensions (e.g. ODT and ODP). They all used to show in the "Files | Recent
Documents" option as well as in the Ubuntu GUI side panel.

Since upgrading, now with documents of one type are open, neither the Ubuntu
GUI, nor the LibreOffice "Recent Documents" list LibreOffice open documents
with different file extension names.

For example, when an ODT is in focus, no open ODP documents show in the
left-hand Ubuntu GUI panel; and neither in the LibreOffice "Recent Documents"

So it is now impossible to switch working between documents (within the same
family) with different file extension names. The only way I found to switch
between these working documents is to go reopen them with File Manager
(fortunately this does not open another instance).

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open LibreOffice documents with different file extensions -- e.g. ODT and
ODP
2. With several of each open, try to switch to one with the other file
extension
3. Try both Ubuntu GUI panel (left hand) and LibreOffice "Recent documents"

Actual Results:
Files with the other file extension do not show

Expected Results:
Files with the other file extension should show in both Ubuntu GUI panel (left
hand) and LibreOffice "Recent documents"

Reproducible: Always
