I have encountered this problem too, but for me, it wasn't just in LibreOffice. The misbehaviour extended to more than just LibreOffice, for example, Firefox, and Chrome, MySQLWorkbench, Thunderbird, etc. As I rarely use any of the Apple standard GUI applications provided with the OS (other than Finder and Desktop), I can't say whether my problem extends also to those applications. >From the numerous reports out there on the internet, it would seem that people frequently have issues with the functionality of their mouse in macOS.
