            Bug ID: 163466
Summary: File Save As dialog does not change filename extension
                    to match file format selection
           Product: LibreOffice
           Version: 24.8.2.1 release
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: medium
         Component: Calc
          Assignee: libreoffice-bugs@lists.freedesktop.org
          Reporter: p.wibber...@btinternet.com

Description:
For example, if I load a CSV file, "test.csv", and then select 'File'.'Save As'
and select 'Excel 2007-365(.xlsx)' format, the dialog box does not change
"text.csv" to "text.xlsx".

Previous versions of Calc did do this, and it was an excellent feature. It
would be much appreciated if this could be incorporated into the current Fresh
version (or later).

Thanks and regards

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open CSV file, e.g. test.csv
2. Select File.Save As, and then select "Excel 2007-365 (.xlsx)" format

Actual Results:
Dialog asks whether I want to replace test.csv

Expected Results:
File should be saved as text.xlsx

Reproducible: Always

User Profile Reset: No

Additional Info:
As with previous versions, it would be helpful if the dialog would
automatically change the filename extension, so that the document is saved with
a filename extension corresponding with the selected format.
