To make things worse, the progress bar looks very dramatic, and the window
loses focus for a moment which makes the title bar flash, which is very
disturbing particularly if your setup is dark. Losing focus looks amateurish
and makes you think something is seriously wrong with the setup.
Other applications don't get all that excited when they autosave. At the very
least, the progress bar should be toned down and the application shouldn't lose
focus if possible. Surely, with SSDs autosave should take a split second
nowadays.
