Hmm, well just got back to this, and my system is still sitting at the
message "resetting" after 8 hrs. I wonder if this is just the 'F4xx that is
having this issue, or perhaps the 'F429. I'll try it on my '407 board. I
note that in the ST Micro code there are instances of the DSB instruction
before and after the write but not in loc3, not sure that this matters but
it is a difference.

If its working for you and Karl there must be something I'm missing.
