I am trying to compare and contrast http long polling method with the websockets protocol. Hence I would like to find statistical measures of some parameters as: Since HTTP is a half duplex protocol, hence for real time data fetching, are there 2 connections between a server and client? If yes, how do I see that? I sniff using wireshark but how I do interpret that there are two connections(one from client to server and another from server to client.)?
